About me

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from RMIT University, a Master’s in Teaching from the University of Melbourne, and a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from Deakin University. Bonus fact: I also almost completed a PhD but (surprise!) issues with my health prevented me from finishing my thesis.

I started my career working with children with disabilities and additional needs, and then worked as a lecturer and researcher in the area of children’s wellbeing and inclusion in education for over a decade.

More recently, my personal experiences with endometriosis and adenomyosis led me back to my psychology roots, and I feel this is exactly where I am supposed to be. Having recently completed graduate study in counselling, I will soon have full membership and registration with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

While supporting individuals with their mental health is my main focus, I feel it is important that this work is done in conjunction with awareness-building and advocacy to affect broader change in society. So I do work in this space too, and actively support other mover and shakers doing the same.
